StructuraL plans info

Have questions that need answers?
You’re not the first and you won’t be the last.

Great question! We want to make getting structural plans as easy as ordering a pizza or a new pair of shoes. Pick your plan, add it to the cart, checkout, and wait for delivery. Simple. If the structural plans info page doesn’t quite cover what you’re looking for check out our more in-depth explanation on the Process page.

This can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. You only need a rough estimate that closely resembles the actual one for selecting your plan. Here are a couple of tips to get you started:

  • Measure the square footage of individual rooms and sum them at the end.
  • Include areas like attics, basements, garages, etc. in your measurements.
  • Round to the nearest foot to keep things simple.
  • We’ll find the actual square footage when we draft your plans so just give it your best shot.

If you need a custom plan, you can Contact Us. Whether you have a subterranean lair, a tree house mansion, or a tiny home on wheels, we’ll find a plan that’s right for you and give you a personalized quote.

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: Almost all industrial projects are inherently unique by nature and require custom plans. Because of this, we don’t have a dedicated package for industrial plans. However, you can Contact Us with your industrial plans and we’d be happy to help. We’ve done structural plans for several industrial projects; Contact Us for some sample work.

Yes! We do occasionally have sales on our structural packages. Make sure to keep checking back!

You read our minds! If you are looking at purchasing multiple plans or intend to use our service again for an upcoming project, we offer a prorated discount.

Once your plans are ready, you will be notified via email. They will then be available to download within your account.

The turn-around time depends on the package and is listed in the project description. For example, a traditional 1,000sf house takes 2 weeks from purchase to delivery, whereas a 100,000sf commercial build would take up to 5 weeks. If you’re in a pinch and need the plans sooner, an expedited delivery option is available.

As of right now the payment options we offer include PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, & American Express), debit card, and check. Please note that when paying with a check, the plans will not be started until the check is received by us.

When paying with a check, it should be made out to “Cole C. Janisch Structural Engineering” for the full amount listed at checkout. Once we receive the check, we will start working on the plans you ordered.

There are none. Because we are classified as a consulting service, there are no taxes on the product. We deliver your completed plans via download in your account which negates a delivery fee. And there are no late fees as we only start your order when payment is received. The only additional fees are ones that customers optionally select on the product page (i.e. expedited delivery, virtual meeting, etc.).

Refund requests must be made within 7 days of the order. Please see our Refund Policy page for the refund process, summary, and exceptions.

Yes. If you wish to put your plans on hold, please Contact Us regarding your intentions to pause the process. We will pick up where we left off once you are ready to resume the process. Please note that the terms listed in our Refund Policy will still apply.

If you receive plans that are not up to your standards or do not meet the needs of your building process, we would be happy to revise them at no extra cost. While we aim to impress everyone with our level of efficiency and attention to detail, we also want to be held accountable when those conditions aren’t met. Our satisfaction guarantee means you are free to Contact Us if you have any issues with your completed product.

As of now, we are licensed to operate in 42 states with another 4 applications pending. The list of states can be found on our About Us page. If you are interested in one of our products but are located in an area where we are not yet licensed, please reach out to us. We are consistently adding new states to our arsenal, and a prospective project in an unlicensed area means it is next on the list to add.

If you fall into any of these categories, you need a set of structural plans:

  1. New Construction
  2. Renovations/Additions
  3. Repairs/Alterations (reinforcing weakened or damaged components or modifying the layout to accommodate new features)
  4. Permitting and Compliance
  5. Contractor Guidance

Ultimately, we provide structural plans as many other engineering firms do, but we do it better. The service that we pride ourselves on is our ability to answer all questions before they are even asked. We give you all the details you need to make the building process as smooth as possible without plastering the page with irrelevant jargon; and plans that give solutions and guidance to any and all concerns before they arise. You’ll pass through permitting with flying colors.

On top of that, at least to our knowledge, we’re the first of our kind. We don’t know of any other engineering group that has made themselves accessible through an e-commerce platform, and for the life of us, we can’t figure out why.
