Find the approximate square footage of your project. This doesn’t just mean livable spaces like bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, etc. It also includes non-livable areas like basements, attics, attached garages, etc. We need the whole picture:

• If you have architectural plans, measurements should already be provided within them.
• If you don’t have any plans, take a look at our Square Footage Calculator to help you find your numbers.
• In both cases, it helps to break it down into sections. Find the square footage of individual rooms and add them up at the end. You can also round to the nearest foot. Trying to find the total to the nearest inch or smaller will only complicate things.

Match your project’s roof complexity level. We split the levels up into 3 complexity categories to simplify the process: Level 1, Level 2, & Level 3. Again, this is a broad range, so use your best judgment. Here’s some info that may help:

• Be sure to look at the images within the product page to help you determine your build’s roof complexity level. If you’re still not sure which complexity level is right for you, Contact Us and we’ll walk you through it!
• Just because a building looks simple in its design, doesn’t mean structurally it’s that straight-forward.
• Inversely, unique and intricate builds can have relatively simple structures inside.

Add expedited delivery. The expected turn-around time for each product is listed on the product page under details. However, if you’re in a pinch and need it sooner, we offer expedited delivery. Here’s what that means: 

• Completely optional service offered to all clients for nearly all projects
• Expedited shipping cuts the delivery time in half, usually bringing the delivery time down to 2 or 3 weeks depending on project size.
• This service is an additional 50% of the total project cost and is added to the cart.

Tailored for your specific needs, we offer additional services to fully round out your structural plans. These are completely optional but offer value in saving both time and money. Here’s our list of additional services: 

• Face-to-Face Meeting or Virtual Consultation
• Minor Revisions to Architectural CAD Drawings
• Physical Copy of Structural Plans
• Site Plans (Typically required as part of a building permit)

Complete your order. After you have selected your product(s) and optional add-ons, continue to checkout to complete the order. From there, the ball is in our court. A couple of things to note:

• Select project sizes (Residential/Townhome > 10,000 s.f. | Multifamily/Commercial > 100,000 s.f.) require custom quotes. The plan can still be purchased but the listed price will act as a deposit, and we will later contact you regarding the revised plan/price. Otherwise, you can Contact Us before purchasing to get a customized quote.
• In the event you need to cancel your order, contact us with your order number and reason for cancellation. See our Refund Policy for details.

After receiving payment for your order, we will contact you if we need any additional information or if the purchased plan package needs to be altered. Outside of that, you will be provided with the expected delivery date and we’ll take care of the rest. Here’s what to expect:

• Once Payment is processed, your order is officially added to our schedule.
• Plan files for us to create the structure within are submitted when ordering the project. If there are any discrepancies, missing pieces, or unclear information, we will contact you for clarification.

Get your plans! When your plans are ready, a delivery email will be sent indicating their completion. How you receive the plans depends on how you purchased the plans:

• If you created an account before checking out, the completed plans will be delivered to your account page. The plans will be available in the “downloads” section of your account.
• If you checked out as a guest, the completed plans will be sent via email to the address provided to us.
